Ursula Rani Sarma

Ursula Rani Sarma is from Co Clare. Her first plays were produced while she was still at university in Cork. She co-founded Djinn Theatre Company in 1999 and her play Touched was performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in the same year. Since then, she's been commissioned by the Abbey, the National Theatre in Britain and the Traverse Theatre in Scotland. Her plays include Wanderings, Gift, and the radio plays Car Four, for the BBC, and The Fisherman, for RTE. Her play The Ripple Effect, which involved local community, youth and school groups, was commissioned as part of the London Cultural Olympiad in 2012.
