John Browne

John Browne studied music at University College Cork and at the Manhattan School of Music in New York. He is a founder member of Meridian Theatre Company, for which he has directed and written original music. Productions with Meridian include 'The Overcoat', 'Valpone', 'Castle Rackrent', 'Craving' and 'The River'. Among recent work as a composer are: '100% Fun' for Watford Palace, 'Always' a community opera for The Royal Opera House and music for the short film, 'Bingo'. He also collaborated with Johnny Hanrahan, Meridan's Artistic Director, on 'The Pied Piper', a children's opera for The Ark in Dublin.
