Ciara Elizabeth Smyth is a playwright from Dublin. Her plays have been presented by Fishamble: The New Play Company, the Abbey Theatre, Dublin Fringe Festival, the Project Arts Centre, Bewley’s Cafe Theatre, the New Theatre and she has been commissioned by the National Youth Theatre of Ireland. Her debut full-length play, All honey, (winner of the Fishamble New Writing Award 2017) and her 2019 play SAUCE are both being adapted for television. She was the playwright on Rough Magic’s SEEDS programme (2018-2020), a recipient of the Arts Council's Next Generation Award 2020, and her play Irishtown was longlisted for the The Women's Prize for Playwriting 2020. Ciara is a resident artist in the MAC Theatre, Belfast and is represented by Curtis Brown.
