Jimmy Murphy
This play is set on a Tuesday in an African restaurant that is struggling to stay open in a post-Celtic tiger Ireland.
Adapted from Jimmy Murphy's Irish emigration play, The Kings of Kilburn High Road, this play is set on an evening five old friends gather in a Nigerian restaurant on Parnell Street to celebrate Daps' 36th birthday. It is a unique opportunity for the friends to reminisce about the past, wonder about the future, and compare their experiences as immigrants in Ireland against the backdrop of the ever-changing Nigeria they left behind many years ago.
