Brinsley MacNamara
The sitting-room of Miss Diana Gilsenan's house at 67 Mornington Square, Dublin The drawing-room of Mr. Richard Gilsenan's residence at Cushionstown, Co. Westmeath.
A comedy about an Anglo-Irish family who use the reputation of their 'Grand House in the City' as capital to finance the family home in the country. The Gilsenans are a dying breed, but for now they scrape by on a presumption of wealth and talent for self-deception.
