History
Amharclann de hÍde was founded in 1992 in Dublin as a professional Irish language theatre company with the aim of developing the highest standard of professional actors, writers, producers and technicians. They had no permanent venue but produced plays in various theatres, mostly in Dublin. Clíodhna Ní Anluain was its first artistic director. Amharclann de hÍde closed in 2001.
